Imperial Glass Co made several unusual pieces of black Candlewick pattern. This pattern in the black was discontinued very early. Consequently not many pieces survived. The exact date of manufacture is unknown, but a good estimate would place it at c. 1930. The Cosmos flower design painted on this plate is in excellent condition as is the entire plate which shows virtually no wear. This 400/62E plate is 8 1/2 inches wide by 10 inches wide at the handles. This piece is rare!
