Toka is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. This breed of dogs was developed during the 1800's by the British in the South Africa area. Their purpose was to develop a dog to hunt lions, to provide protection, and provide companionship. Toka is swahili for "be gone".

Here are a few new additions to the family: 

Cat: Sadie
Bird: Pearl (yes...she does whistle Yankee Doodle and Dixie)
Horses: Rascal and Ginger.  Rascal is the tri-color line back dun paint.  Ginger is the golden palomino.
