Introduction

This set of web pages contains descriptions and pictures of hikes I have done from Newfoundland to the Australian outback, with the major emphasis being the Rocky Mountain West and particularly Utah Canyon country. Since I usually take slides, the only pictures at the moment are from the southwest - mostly from slot canyon hikes.

My thanks to the many people who have commented on these pages: both those who liked & those who told me I was off-base. Both are appreciated.
