All contacts made with 5 Watts, powered from a Vector "Start It compactpro" battery pack, charged from my truck's cigarette lighter. I worked using a "field friendly doublet" --- a length of two-conductor 18 gauge wire unzipped to form a flattop with an open-wire feeder. I made "rungs" out of 1.5" PVC pipe cut in quarters, and hooked the whole thing up to K2 S/N 398 using an Emtech ZM-2 tuner.
