New Mexico Mountain Club

Embudo Canyon Waterfall, Spring 2005
The New Mexico Mountain Club sponsors exciting outdoor adventures throughout the year for members and guests. We do hiking, technical rock climbing, backpacking, camping, snowshoeing, skiing, and cycling. Our activities vary from easy to strenuous; we have something for every taste and skill level.
The New Mexico Mountain Club was started in 1952 by a group of Albuquerque residents with a common love of the outdoors. It has been continuously active ever since and now has almost 1,000 members. Our Club's strength is its members who share their skills and knowledge of special places with others. Last year our members led over 500 Club outings!
