Why are you called Cheeks?

People often ask me why my login name is Cheeks. Well, I lived in Louisiana for a while when I was about 15, and a friend of mine started calling me that.

Shortly after moving back to Albuquerque, I got my first modem, called a BBS, and was greeted with the imperitive to choose a "handle". I entered "cheeks", and have been using that name to represent my cyber-self ever since.

Sometimes I think I should grow up and stop going by that name. But so many people know me as Cheeks now, electronically and in real life, that it seems pointless to change.
