Dedicated to Excellence in Woodworking

ABOUT THE ALBUQUERQUE WOODWORKERS ASSOCIATION

The Albuquerque Woodworkers Association (AWA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to excellence in woodworking in New Mexico.

AWA is staffed entirely by volunteers and offers a continuing education program in the form of lectures and demonstrations by area woodworkers. Special workshops and slideshows are presented by nationally known woodworkers. We also sponsor and participate in woodworkers shows.

AWA maintains a library of back issues of woodworking magazines, and many woodworking books and videos. For access to this material, call the AWA Librarian, Peggy Hall, at 293-0993, or visit the library on-line.

AWA also has a few specialty tools for use by members. Contact Derek Roff at 269-5738 for more information about availability and conditions.

AWA is funded by member dues and grants from Paxton Woodcrafters' Store and Woodworker's Supply. Individual dues are $30 per year. Special rates are available for shops with more than one employee.

The following Albuquerque businesses offer discounts to AWA members:
