Professional Service Associates has been in existence since 1995 providing a variety of services in grant writing, education enhancement, professional training and development, small business consulting, public relations and group facilitation. In grant writing, Professional Service Associates can provide funding searches, proposal development, demographic research, proposal review and edit, and program evaluation. In professional training and development, we specialize in the following: total quality theory, process, and tools; Malcolm Baldrige Assessment; customer service; grant writing; grant management and administration; youth entrepreneurship and leadership; and strategic planning. In small business consulting we can help start-up or existing businesses in business or financial plan development, marketing strategies, government procurement, organizational design and process improvement. For educational institutions we can assist in curriculum development, program development and program evaluation.
Professional Service Associates also provides a variety of services including event coordination, community collaboration, building partnerships, press releases, public service announcements, positive media campaigns, political campaigns, and serve as a government liaison. We also provide group facilitation services in the area of strategic planning, consensus building, team building, and leadership.
The President, Michael A. Rivera, holds a master degree in Public Administration and a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico. He also received a Certificate in Education Leadership from Harvard University. Mr. Rivera has over 20 years in business, non-profit management and working with educational institutions. Professional Service Associates has been successful in the acquisition of several recent grants. These include: $5.3 million from the U.S. Department of Education for college awareness and parental involvement for La Jicarita Enterprise Community; $389,626 from the U.S. Department of Education for a Youth Entrepreneurship Network program for La Jicarita Enterprise Community; $240,000 from the New Mexico Department of Education for Family Literacy Initiative for the Bernalillo Public Schools; and $27,000 from the McCune Foundation for youth employment and church restoration for the St. Gertrude Parish.
