Robin Lackey, MSW, PhD, is a program planning and evaluation consultant and change facilitator, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since 1998, in addition to conducting or consulting to multiple project, program and community evaluations and needs assessments in several states, she has provided training and technical assistance to over 1400 non-profit directors and staff across the country, assisting them to develop and describe clear, measurable program objectives and outcomes, and to construct plans and instruments for data collection and reporting.
Programs she assists address a wide variety of service areas, including educational, environmental, public safety and basic human needs. She has expertise and experience in both process and outcome evaluation, and has taught workshops in data collection and analysis for non-profits working with limited resources and varying skill levels.
Additionally, she provides program and collaboration planning assistance and grant-writing services, as well as group facilitation for community change, consensus building, and staff and board training and development. Her most current endeavors include a multi-site evaluation for the improvement of educational programming for students at risk academically and socially.
Dr. Lackey has researched, presented and/or published primarily in the areas of organizational learning and the use and misuse of evaluation findings. A list of publications and presentations is available on request.
In addition to the PhD earned in the field of Organizational Learning, Dr. Lackey holds BA and MA degrees in Social Work. Her background includes more than fifteen years of work in social and educational services in a variety of settings. She has provided developmental, mental health, and education services to infants, children, adults, families, and groups. She offers skills and a perspective drawn from serving in a broad spectrum of roles, including direct service practitioner, program designer and coordinator, clinical supervisor, trainer, manager, director, and evaluator. Her professional work has also included community organization and coalition building efforts, research in organizational learning, curriculum development, Human Resources consultation, and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level in Social Work methods and Instructional Design.
