Kezha launched her own consulting company in 2004 and has been involved integrally with most aspects of nonprofit work for more than seven years, including the development of a new nonprofit and helping to run an established multimillion dollar organization. She has achieved an 80-90% fundraising success rate, developed and managed more than 40 projects and programs simultaneously that effectively protected wildlife and their habitat and improved public education, and has created successful annual communication pieces that resulted in more than 100% membership growth each year.

Kezha Hatier-Riess graduated from Mills College in 1993 with a B.S. in Environmental Studies and has a Masters in Wildlife Biology from Montana State University. After volunteering and interning with a number of nonprofits, Kezha started her nonprofit career in 1997 with the newly-created Yellowstone Park Foundation where she remained until August 2003. She was also an active board member of the Gallatin Valley Humane Society. Kezha has taught a number of grantwriting and fundraising classes to National Park Service employees. She also has completed a number of intensive fundraising courses.
