Anne Hays Egan is an organizational development consultant based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her firm, New Ventures, consults with nonprofit organizations, agency networks, foundations, state and national associations. She works regionally and nationally, and is a recognized leader in devolution and community interagency systems planning.

In her work, she focuses her consulting on community and interagency planning, organizational strategic planning, outcome evaluation and fund raising planning. She has helped many organizations in New Mexico develop practical plans, implement strategies and build capacity. She has helped agencies develop case statements, fund raising plans and proposals that have raised over $15 million dollars in the past few years. Her work with organizational program evaluation has been recognized nationally, and received awards in Santa Fe. Anne's focus is on helping organizations achieve measurable improvements, and building capacity that stays with the agency long after Anne has finished her work.

Anne also leads strategic planning retreats and workshops. She has taught workshops and made presentations for the Santa Fe Community Foundation, United Way of Central New Mexico, state associations such as the Human Needs Coordinating Council, Northern New Mexico Grantmakers, Maternal and Child Health, state associations in other states, and national organizations. Her sessions are always highly rated, and charactized as "high energy" and "fun"!

credentials : Anne has almost 30 years of experience in the nonprofit world. She spent about 10 years as a nonprofit executive with the American Red Cross and the Presbyterian Church (USA). She then worked as a consultant for the Presbyterian Church (USA)in 1984, and moved into independent consulting.

As Co-Chair of the national Alliance for Nonprofit Management Gold Book Committee, she is guiding the national collection of case studies that provide examples of ways to build nonprofit and community capacity. She is also a member of the National Council of Nonprofit Associations, ARNOVA, Society for Nonprofit Organizations, and People for the American Way.

Anne is known as a researcher and writer in the field. She is the former publisher of The Digest of Nonprofit Management. She has authored NPO Quality Assurance Program, Program Evaluation Made Easy, Blueprint for a Powerful Fund Raising Plan, Mission and Money and Writing Great Grants. She recently completed a new book, The Devolution Toolkit, and is writing a chapter on New Mexico's experience with devolution for the Georgetown Public Policy Civil Society Institute's Ford Foundation funded project.

Anne received her B.A. degree from Converse College, M.A. from Florida State University, and her M.Div. from Princeton. She is an ordained Presbyterian Minister. She has been selected as one of the "Outstanding Young Women in America", and is in "Who's Who in Religion" and "Who's Who in Human Resources."
