Deborah Brown's career integrates practice with critical inquiry. As an organizational development consultant in private practice for over 12 years, Deborah leads efforts in culture change, strategic planning and change management in the public and non-profit sectors. As a program evaluation researcher she works collaboratively with organizations and government agencies to use structured inquiry as a program and project improvement tool. Prior to embarking on her private consulting practice, Deborah worked in organizations serving the needs of children and families. In addition to her consulting and evaluation work she has exemplified community leadership with the Vermont New American Schools Initiative, the State Team for Children and Families, the United Way of Windham County and other organizations.
Deborah grew up in Vermont and currently divides her time between Vermont and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Believing that grand dreams and high ideals are compatible with careful analysis and pragmatic planning, her personal philosophy is one of "practical idealism."
Ms. Brown earned a Ph.D. in Human and Organization Systems from the Fielding Graduate Institute, a Master of Science in Organization and Management from Antioch New England Graduate School and a Master of Arts in Human an Organization Development from the Fielding Graduate Institute. She is a full Professor working part time at the Antioch/New England Graduate School.
