Remembering David
Donors: Family and Friends of David Maccini

Family and friends of David Maccini established a memorial fund with ACF upon his death from cancer at the age of 10. David was a gifted child who teachers, friends and family admired because of his intelligence, sense of humor, honesty, frankness, and tenacious spirit. During his four-year illness, David had the opportunity to consider which of his many interests on which to focus. Since establishment in 1996, The David Maccini Memorial Fund has supported projects in the field of Environmental and Historic Preservation.

Many of the foundation's grants in this field support environmental programs for young students. When the fund grows, sufficiently in asset size, his parents, Michael and Barbara Koenig Maccini, may redirect funding to a college program for outstanding Albuquerque students. It is the hope of those who know David that in this way the memory of his incredible life will lay the seeds for many positive changes for generations to come.
