ACF CELEBRATES 25 YEARS DURING ITS ANNUAL GRANT AWARDS & DONOR APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
During 2006, the Albuquerque Community Foundation is celebrating its 25th year in Albuquerque. Over the past 25 years the Foundation has built its permanent endowment fund to $44.5 million. Each year the ACF awards grants and scholarships to address the most pressing needs of the community in six fields-of-interest: Arts & Culture, Children & Youth, Education, Environmental & Historic Preservation, Health and Human Services. In 2006, the ACF will award $1.8 million in grants bringing the twenty-five year total to $15 million.
“It is with great pride that we celebrate the Foundation’s anniversary. For 25 years, donors, nonprofits, the Board of Trustees, volunteers and staff have worked through this organization to bring our community together and establish a stable and never-ending source of income to ensure the Albuquerque area continues to be a special place to live and work”, states Randy Royster, Executive Director.
“The importance of building private resources that will provide a helping hand from one generation to the next has never been greater.”
Competitive grants were awarded during the annual luncheon on October 20, 2006, at the Hotel Albuquerque.
