ACF: 25th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Albuquerque Community Foundation was founded in 1981 by civic leaders who believed that a community foundation could be a permanent source of funds to improve the city’s quality of life. 25 years later the Foundation has built a permanent endowment fund of $42 million and has awarded over $15 million in grants.

During the 25th anniversary year, the Foundation will honor its founders and donors and continue to build its endowment. An Anniversary Committee is assisting in the planning and orchestrating of the celebration events that will include a Beach Party at Tingley to unveil three marvelous new sculptures funded through The FUNd, a donor-advised fund held at the Community Foundation: the giant “Fish Globe” by Colette Hosmer; “La Laguna de los Suenos,” a bronze fishing boat sculpture, by Ed Hadeway; and a piece by Patrick Simpson. The art is scheduled for installation at the newly restored Tingley Beach as soon as the four lakes are complete. Upon installation of the pieces, all ACF friends will be invited for their unveiling, and everyone will receive the Foundation’s newest publication, “A Collection of Creative Works,” which showcases the extensive collection of public art funded through the Foundation over the past 25 years.
The best party in Albuquerque this year was the Foundation’s Annual Luncheon on Friday, October 20, at Hotel Albuquerque. Lunch included a colossal Celebration of the Past. Performances from the most popular past grant recipients, lots of mini grants, and a few surprises are in the works.
The Foundation invites you to join us in Celebrating 25 Years of Connecting People Who Care with Cause that Matter.
