Grantmaking Process – Where to Start
Each year the Albuquerque Community Foundation makes grants to organizations with proven track records as well as to new organizations providing direct services benefiting people in the Albuquerque metropolitan area. But the fact is, there are many sources of funding for a nonprofit organization, we are NOT necessarily the one that will fit YOUR needs best.
In this section you will find the information to help you decide if we are the appropriate source of funding for your program. Organizations seeking grants from the Competitive Grant Program should consider the fit between their mission and activities and the Foundation’s guidelines. Please follow the steps below before submitting an application for funding.
#1. Review About Grants
#2. Review grants from past years
#3. IF you have received a grant from the ACF Competitive Grant Program in the last two years – then you may want to go directly to the Printer Friendly Guide [pdf]
BUT, if you are a past recipient looking for funding for a new program, please tell us about your plans with the e-mail Nonprofit Information Form
#4. IF you are completely new to ACF or have not recently received a grant, please complete the e-mail Nonprofit Information Form
#5. Call the Foundation if you have questions about the process or to talk more about the program you are considering including in your request for funding
#6. Submit a completed grant proposal in accordance with the instructions in How to Apply by the established deadline.
