Our Extended Range DSL service uses New Edge Networks to provide the connection, but the only bill you receive is from Southwest Cyberport. New Edge in turn uses Qwest to provide a digital circuit. The digital circuit is like a traditional T1 circuit, so there are no specific distance limitations. This service is especially useful if you can't get regular DSL service, or if you can't get the speed you need at your location.
Extended Range DSL service provides a full-time, dedicated connection that has the same upload and download speed, but is burstable up to the next higher speed. The maxium speed is 1.5M. At any speed it can provide an effective connection for your email and basic web browsing. At the higher speeds this connection is appropriate for hosting an FTP or Web server. Extended Range also differs from conventional DSL in that the service is delivered over a Qwest T1 circuit. This means better response time from Qwest when a problem does occur.

The installation charge is $350. The required equipment is a T1 router and CSU/DSU. We can provide the Siemens 5940 Router which costs $899. The Siemens is a combination T1 router and CSU/DSU.
