It is fairly simple to password protect a Web Directory, using our Web Directory Access Control tool. 

We've created two screen-casts to show you how to do it.

The first screencast is a basic tutorial which demonstrates how to quickly set up password protection on a web directory using just the "Users" and "Directory" options.

The second goes into using the "Groups" option, as well as the material covered in the first screen-cast. Using Groups makes handling access for many users much more simpler, in the long run.
