4-16-07 Petite, yet strong, stoker looking for a captain. I am experienced on a single bike and ride 2 days a week with the New Mexico Touring Scoiety. I have less time on a tandem but would like to get back into that. In addition to biking, I do quite a bit of hiking in the mountains. At 5'2" and 107 pounds, I've been told I can hold my own on a tandem. Please e-mail me at on_the_go@earthlink.net or call me at 255-7972. Phyllis |

Posted 3-28-07 Current request - I’m looking for a Captain who wants to do 75 or 50 miles of the Santa Fe Century. I just don’t feel up to the full 100 at this time. Doug & I used to ride with the Pedalers late 1990's. Doug & I no longer ride our tandem X 6 years or so. Now we're separating for awhile or forever. I would like to serve as stoker to the right captain. I can provide a Trek tandem, kinda heavy, but the super light weight cobalt blue rims help make up for it. I'm in pretty good shape (54, 5'2", 108 lbs, lots of dancing & pilates), but would need to get my bike legs back. I'm at work now. My home email: betzi@rt66.com. 934-3663 Betzi Hitz |
I just moved back from Austin, TX and couldn't be happier, but I had to leave my beautiful Cannon tandem and an excellent Captain behind. I am looking for an opp to meet some new friends and put in a few tandem miles. I do have a single, but there is nothing like a tandem ride for sociability. Could you put me together with some experienced Captains with a good senses of humor, even if it's just for the occasional ride. I had an excellent teacher in how to be a good Stoker and am a relatively strong cyclist (although the altitude will take a while to get used to). I am 5' 11", 163 lbs. and have an excellent sense of humor myself. Hope to hear from you in the not-too-distant future. Thanks, Janet Lincoln jlincoln@lobo.net |
