Goals – Mission Training Calendar Joining SSD Search Dog Readings SAR Links	Frequent and regular training is essential to developing and maintaining search dog skills. In addition, dog handlers and field support members must develop and maintain proficiency in a variety of search and rescue skills such as land navigation, search techniques, first aid and communications. SSD normally trains at various locations within the Albuquerque metro area each Tuesday evening throughout the year and also on one Saturday and one Sunday each month. A monthly business meeting is held on the first Tuesday of each month in lieu of training. All members are expected to maintain a minimum training attendance of 30 % each 6 month period during the year.
