Virgo Studio

Virgo is my own retreat of dance, it is not a business, but my home, the studio was part of the property when we bought the house from Teri Corbin (formerly know as Golden Ohm studio) and it is the place I dreamed of, a place where serious Middle Eastern dancers could gather and investigate belly dance together without the specter of commerce. I host weekly parties of middle eastern dance, master dancers lead these parties for intermediate dancers and above, thus without the distraction of beginning students who still are working on the basics. With mirrors on three walls and a sprung floor Virgo is as comfortable as it is welcoming. There is room for about eight or ten dancers comfortably, the small size grantees an intimate atmosphere. As this studio is not about money we can do what interests us, and pick and choose who is invited to join, no drama! Virgo is located in the Ridgecrest/Nob hill neighborhood of Albuquerque New Mexico at present we have four regular dance parties with another to be added soon. There is also a DVD/VHS player and TV, for watching/doing videos alone or in groups, if you have a video you would like to share with other dancers free of charge, then let me know and we will arrange a party.

The Rules

This is a home treat it like one.
Everyone must sign a waiver immediately.
Shoes off when on the dance floor.
Nothing is to be removed from the studio.
There is no pain in belly dance, if something hurts stop!
Park around the property, not across the street.
NO: whining, complaining, disrespect, meanness, drama queens.
Let go of ALL negativity and enjoy.
